Blotter: Two Incidents Involving Guns, a Man Asks Where to Buy Drugs and More

The following items are from Patch's reporting of the La Grange and La Grange Park police blotters.

Road Rage Brings Out Gun

A man came to the La Grange police station March 15 to say a man pulled a gun, possibly a 9mm, on him at the Amoco/McDonalds, 100 N. La Grange Road, after a road rage incident at about 8 p.m. Police have a possible license plate number. Further reporting on March 20 showed the man did no longer wanted to pursue charges.

La Grange police said they could not find two men, sought by Countryside police, who pointed a gun in an apartment in that municipality and fled north on East Avenue in a green or gray Charger with shiny rims at about 9:29 p.m. March 15.

Berwyn Woman Arrested At Jewel-Osco

A Berwyn woman was arrested after La Grange Park police said she tried to steal items worth $293 at the Jewel-Osco, 507 E. Woodlawn, March 12 and planned to sell them to another unidentified store in Cicero.

Patricia K. Zilinger, 28, of 3137 Oak Park Ave., was charged with misdemeanor retail theft, which could be upgraded in court March 26 due to her arrest history, police said.

A loss prevention officer reported seeing her standing in the Osco aisle at about 3:45 p.m., and take  three packages of Claritin tablets, three of 40-count Liqui-Gel and three 60-count Zytec allergy medicine from the shelf and put them in her purse. She dropped an empty hand basket and walked through the west exit door and activated  the alarm, police said.

Police Question Theft

A La Grange woman told police March 18 that someone stole items from her home and she believes it was a caretaker.  In questioning her, a police officer got mixed results whether something was taken without permission. The resident is supposed to go into a nursing home due to multiple sclerosis.

Son May Have Stolen Laptop

A La Grange mother reported March 17 that her Macintosh laptop computer is missing and she thinks her son or his friend may have taken it. She plans to talk to the two.

Late-Night Hoopsters Sent Away

Six kids playing basketball at about 11:10 p.m. March 18 on a lot at Seventh Avenue School, 701 S. Seventh Ave., were sent on their way by La Grange police.

Drug ‘Buyer’ Conspicuous

A man in a purple PT Cruiser was reported asking people on the 200 block of Washington Avenue where he could buy drugs at about 1:41 a.m. March 18. The vehicle last was seen on Cossitt Avenue.
