Bicycle Worth More Than $300 Reported Stolen

Possible indecent activity, gathering crowd reported to La Grange police.

A 13-year-old boy whom a La Grange police officer saw trying to enter a boarded-up house through a basement door at about 3:44 p.m. March 17, said he was playing hide-and-go-seek. The boy was sent on his way.

A woman living in the 400 block of Ashland Avenue reported seeing a man and woman on a porch possibly engaging in indecent activity in public at about 1:48 a.m. March 18. The two ran west on Goodman Avenue and a police officer found a 20-year-old man at 47th Street and Ashland and brought him home to Western Springs.

Ten people who had been gathering in the lot behind Palmer Place, 56 S. LaGrange Road, at about 12:27 a.m. March 18 were sent on their way by La Grange police.

A 5- or 6-year-old specialized black bicycle with red letters was reported stolen at about 6.55 p.m. March 17 from the LaGrange Road Metra train station where it had been locked. Its value was more than $300, police were told.

The La Grange Fire Department provided mutual aid for a fire call at St. John of the Cross, 708 51st St. in Western Springs at about 11:16 a.m. March 17; and a fire alarm at the Village Market, 423 S. Sherwood in La Grange Park.
