La Grange Park Man Pleads Guilty to Child Porn Charges, Sentencing Set for November

Nathan Arger, 32, of 538 Spring Ave. in La Grange Park, a former part-time LT employee, pleaded guilty to child porn charges on Aug. 2 and will be sentenced on Nov. 2.

The Doings reports that Nathan Arger, 32, of 538 Spring Ave. in La Grange Park, pleaded guilty to charges that he transported images of child pornography in an appearance in federal court on Aug. 2. 

Arger is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 2.

after an undercover federal agent discovered pornographic images being shared on an online peer-to-peer file-sharing network.

, agents discovered about 160 gigabytes of images of child pornography on his computer and hard drive. 

and was released to his father on a $100,000 bond. He was placed in home confinement and was subject to electronic monitoring.

Arger was a part-time employee of , working in the school's television and radio stations on nights and weekends as a non-faculty staff member when he was arrested. No allegations were made that Arger had any inappropriate contact with students at LT.

The high school put him on immediate unpaid leave after learning he was arrested. School officials said last year that Arger passed a background check before he was hired.

Arger could face a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years in federal prison with a maximum fine of $250,000.
