Ambulance Sent for Sick Student at Forest Road School
Smell of gas reported in La Grange Park home; La Grange Park police issue tickets to drivers.
A La Grange Fire Department ambulance was sent to help 6-year-old student at Forest Road School, 901 Forest Road in La Grange Park, who was reported sick at about 3:29 p.m. Feb. 28. The La Grange police report did not say whether the student was a boy or girl nor indicate whether the student was brought to the hospital.
The La Grange Fire department provided mutual aid at about 10:05 p.m. Feb. 28 for a smell of gas inside a home in the 700 block of Barnsdale Road in La Grange Park.
A 22-year-old Des Plaines man was ticketed at about 12:59 a.m. March 1 by La Grange Park police after an officer reported seeing his silver 2006 Nissan Altima going north in the 1100 block of north LaGrange Road without a front license plate. Luis A. Contreras was ticketed for no front plate and no valid driver’s license. When asked for his license, he showed an officer a state identification card, police said.

A La Grange Park man was ticketed for his car having a loud exhaust after a La Grange Park police officer stopped his white 1993 Nissan Maxima in the 500 block of north LaGrange Road at about 5:22 a.m. Feb. 24. Romeo D. Oraha, 39, also was ticketed for driving while his license is revoked. Police said he showed a state identification card when stopped by the officer, who heard a vehicle approach and then pass with a loud exhaust system.
