Graffiti was painted on a garage in the 900 block of South 7th Avenue, police said.

Fireworks on Spring

Several callers reported fireworks around 11:21 p.m. in the 700 block of South Spring Avenue, police said. All was quiet when officers arrived.

Chipotle Hit-and-Run

A car hit another car in the Chipotle parking lot around 5:01 p.m. and drove away, police said.

Suspended, Revoked License

Jonny J. Belcher, 30, of the 1600 block of Forest Avenue in La Grange Park, was arrested around 5:09 p.m. near the intersection of La Grange and Ogden, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Cell Phone Stolen from DiNico’s

A cell phone was stolen around 5:24 p.m. from a table at DiNico’s, police said. The phone was worth less than $500.

Graffiti on Parking Garage

Graffiti was spray painted on the top level of the downtown parking garage, police said. Two suspects were located near the graffiti, but they did not have a can on them.

Teen Sleeping at Tennis Court

A teenager was found sleeping under blankets by the tennis courts at Gilbert Park around 6:56 a.m., police said. He was sent on his way.

iPhone Stolen

An iPhone was stolen from a teenager while she was at a friend’s house in the 0-99 block of Hayes, police said. The phone was worth more than $500.

Saturday, July 20

Dog Bites Beagle

A large black dog bit a beagle around 6:32 p.m. near the intersection of Cossitt and Stone, police said. The owner of the black dog immediately left the scene.

Public Urination

A man openly urinated near the intersection of Hillgrove and Kensington around 7:26 p.m., police said. Officers found the man, who admitted to the public peeing.

Hit-and-Run on Harris

A car hit another car parked in the 0-99 block of East Harris around 12:35 p.m. and drove off, police said.

Suspended Registration

Genara L. Mesarina, 39, of the 7200 block of Park Avenue in Summit, was arrested around 12:40 a.m. near the intersection of Ogden and East avenues, police said. He was charged with driving with suspended registration.
