2 attempted burglaries
Someone attempted to burglarize two homes and damaged handles on side doors between noon and 5 p.m., La Grange Park police said. The homes were in the 500 block of Homestead and the 400 block of Beach.

License violation
Kristen P. Oldenburg, 31, of the 300 block of South Park in La Grange Park, was arrested around 6:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of Newberry in La Grange Park, police said. She was charged with driving with expired registration, without proof of valid insurance and without a valid driver’s license.

License violation
Timothy P. Nevins, 32, of the 3500 block of Blanchan in Brookfield, was arrested around 4:35 p.m. near the intersection of La Grange and Scotdale, police said. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to notify the Secretary of State of a change of address.
