"Aggressive" Man Asks for Money at La Grange Store

A 56-year-old man went into Nest Vintage Modern, 22 W. Calendar St., about 3:30 p.m. and asked for money and was “aggressive,” the caller told police. The man was sent away from the store.

Two Arrested for Drug Paraphernalia Possession

Police charged Abigail Boyd, 23, and Ryan Kennedy, 24, of La Grange with possession of drug paraphernalia after a woman reported they were getting high outside the La Grange Public Library about 4:30 p.m. They were charged and held on bond.

Al's Char-House Cooks Go At It

A man reported he was pushed near the intersection of La Grange Road and Harris Avenue about 5 p.m. Police said two men, both cooks at Al’s Charhouse, were arguing in the basement of the restaurant.

$135 in Food Ordered From Al's Char-House in Credit Card Scam

A man reported he received a $135 charge made with a fraudulent credit card from Al’s Charhouse for a carry-out order about 6:40 p.m.  

Wednesday, October 16

Leaf Blower Stolen 

A man reported his leaf blower, worth about $250 to $300, was stolen from his garage in the 200 block of South 7th Avenue about 3:30 p.m.

Hubcaps Stolen

A woman reported someone stole her daughter’s hubcaps from her car in the 100 block of North Brainard Avenue about 3:40 p.m.

15-Year-Old Arrested for Driving Without a License

Police charged a 15-year-old Hodgkins male with driving without a license during a traffic stop near the intersection of Ashland Avenue and Harris Street about 4:50 p.m. The teen was given a Nov. 20 court date and released on $2,000 bond.
