Commuter Parking in La Grange is Huge Problem!

I lived in La Grange for many years and take train to Chicago 2-3 days a week. I love La Grange but biggest frustration is metered parking. You can obviously buy decal parking that is ONLY issued for 3 months! City refuses to sell them on monthly bases and cannot explain why. We as residents should have a choice to buy these decal parking stickers that are good for 1 month simply because some people have different commute needs. PLEASE LA GRANGE CITY OFFICIALS EXPLAIN why there should be a problem? You will get your money, just give residents choice!

Another huge problem- metered parking. If you can't get spot at 9am-6pm meter parking, you can wait till 8:30 am and park by Stone Ave., miss the train that comes at 8:24 am and be late to work. You can also try to park at 8:24, pay meter but risk in getting a ticket for parking 5 minutes earlier!!!There are at least 15-20 empty meter spots available by Stone Ave. Metra Station that nobody uses during the day. Theses spots are available from 8:30/9:00 am for 8 hours and these are always empty! Why city of La Grange is making everything so complicated? Please let commuters use these meters and pay for them! Instead city of La Grange buys parking enforcing officer SMART car (MSRP new approximately $40,000) who drives around and issues tickets for LA GRANGE RESIDENTS that parks their cars 4-5 min earlier than meter allows (8:30 am meter at STONE AVE). Many commuters and residents of La Grange are furious and I would like to know how we all could resolve this problem. Any suggestions?
