Obituary: Cole Joseph Vida of La Grange Park

Cole Joseph Vida was granted his angel wings on Nov. 26, 2011 following a lifelong illness. 

With his courage, he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He is survived by his loving parents, Joe Vida and Michele Vida, nee Clark; maternal grandfather Edward Clark and paternal grandmother Alice Ann Vida. 

Cole's funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, LaGrange, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Cole’s name to the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.  Contributions can be sent directly to the University of Chicago Development Office, C/O Dr. David Gozal (Cole Vida), 1170 E. 58th St., Chicago IL., 60637. Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., assisting family with arrangements.
