Saturday: Fall Family Fun That Puts You in the Spirit

The La Grange Business Association (LGBA) will host its annual Halloween Walk & Fall Festival for ghosts and goblins of all sizes on Saturday, Oct. 26 with a full day of fall-themed activities for families in the shops and restaurants of the downtown area.

The traditional Halloween Walk will kick things off from 10AM – 12:00PM as staffers from the Greater La Grange YMCA lead costumed pirates, witches, monsters and their families on a trick-or-treat parade. The walk begins at Cossitt School playground with treats provided by local merchants.

There will be a magic show and pictures with Ronald McDonald from 12:00 – 12:30PM near the fountain located at Village Hall.

Throughout the day, nearly 30 merchants will offer a spirited schedule of seasonal activities plus shopping and dining specials.  Events include free costumed pet photos, a painting party, pumpkin decorating, Halloween crafts, make-your-own caramel apples, hourly pie eating contests, a pool party and more. There's plenty for grown ups, too with BYOB painting parties for adults, to entertaining-made-easy demonstrations with the Hot Wheels Party Cart.

Merchants are currently distributing a schedule of events and a punch card. Customers can be entered in a drawing to win great gifts with every $25 that they spend at participating merchants on Oct. 26.
