Right Time to Feel Fit, Live Well in La Grange

La Grange businesses provide plenty of opportunities to make positive changes in your health and well being this month.

Looking to make some changes in your health and wellness this year?  January is the perfect time to make a realistic assessment of your physical well-being and develop a plan about what changes you’d like to make to live healthier and happier. Several businesses in La Grange have joined forces this month to offer unique packages and classes designed to help you feel fit and live well.

Dimensional Family Wellness (708-497-2441) offers Be Your Potential, a five-week program of health discussions designed to help find what you want to achieve in 2013 and how to maintain it for a lifetime.  Program meets Tuesdays at 7PM through February 5; fee is $100. Jump Start a New You is an opportunity for new patients to receive a one-hour massage and chiropractic exam ($300 value) for $35, available through January.

At Oasis Women’s Fitness & Spa (708-588-6305), you can learn about the benefits of a plant-based diet from Anne Ledbetter, Ed.D, and educator for the T. Colin Campbell Foundation.  This six-week class begins Wednesday, January 16 from 7-9PM and is open to the public; $159 limited to 20 people.  Oasis offers Personal Training and Private Pilates.  Get the motivation and results you’re looking for.  There is no joining fee in January and, if you sign up for personal training, your first month’s membership fee is half off.

Want to make a big change in your health? Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital (630-856-7500) begins a series of smoking cessation classes.  The program is modeled after the Freedom from Smoking Criteria from the American Lung Association.  Cost is $129 and covers all materials.  Class size is limited to 10 participants per session; classes begin Tuesday, January 15 at the hospital located at 5101 W. Willow Springs Road.

It’s time to ring in the new YOU at the Greater LaGrange YMCA (708-352-7600).  Come in throughout January to receive access to modern exercise equipment, numerous fitness classes including Cycle on new Livestrong bikes, and the joining fee will be waived when you become a member.  Bring a friend to join on January 16 and you‘ll both benefit.  Other fun events are planned throughout the month.  Join For Free and Change For Life!
