During the holidays we were on a search for Rainbow Looms rubber bands. Everyone seemed to be out of them. When we walked into Learning Express Toys in Countryside, it was as if we found Rainbow Loom heaven. Now Learning Express and The Chicago Wolves are teaming up to bring Rainbow Loom inventor Choon Ng to the Sunday, March 23 Chicago Wolves game.
The inaugural Rainbow Loom Expo runs from Noon – 2:00 p.m. with a new technique showcase, hands-on lessons from Learning Express employees and displays of “Loomers’” designs.
A highlight is sure to be the new Rainbow Loom product Ng is scheduled to unveil at the Rainbow Loom expo. In addition, Ng and his family will meet “Loomers” and talk to the many, many “Loomers” about their designs.

The Rainbow Loom just won four awards at the 2014 Toy of the Year Awards in New York City, including “Toy of the Year” and “Activity Toy of the Year.” The awards are regarded as the toy industry’s version of the Oscars, according to the Chicago Wolves media release.
Admission is to the March 23 Expo is FREE with a paid ticket to the Wolves’ 3 p.m. game against the Grand Rapids Griffins. In addition, the first 2,500 people 15 and under to enter the Expo will receive a Chicago Wolves charm.
