John E. Horn Wins Social Security Case without Hearing for Client with Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Personality Disorder, and Spinal Impairment Who Had Been Denied Twice

John E. Horn of the law firm of Horn & Kelley, P.C., won an appeal before the Social Security Administration without a hearing for a claimant with bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorder, and lumbar spine impairment.  The claimant was denied benefits administratively after initially applying without representation.  The first appeal was also denied.   A hearing had been scheduled for December 13, 2013, but it has been cancelled because it is no longer necessary because of Horn’s victory.  The claimant stopped working on Sept. 30, 2011 and was found to be disabled as of the same date.  Horn said, “It’s a shame that people making earlier decisions didn’t understand the severity of my client’s condition.  I am happy I was able to obtain benefits from the time he became disabled as well as Medicare coverage.”  Horn is an attorney who represents people on disability claims at every level in Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, and nationwide.
