Community Update

They had trouble finding the heirs in order to make the arrangements for a woman at their funeral home who had died very suddenly and very unexpectedly on Christmas eve.

So what did they do? They continued to call and harass the couple of family members who they had the contact information for, who did not live in town (one lived clear across the country!), who they knew did not have the authority to make such decisions, and who they knew were not in contact with the heirs.

They conducted themselves incredibly unprofessionally saying such things like

Your sister's body is DECAYING

Your sister's body is ROTTING

Your sister's body is a HEALTH HAZARD

They never offered an apology or even acknowledged that that is an inappropriate way to interact with grieving relatives who actually couldn't do anything. Even when one of the woman's sisters broke down sobbing uncontrollably on the phone, they were so cold and unfeeling that they still didn't offer an apology. I couldn't even believe that something like this had happened.

I would never again use this funeral home - regardless of any cost or any inconvenience for doing so.
