Nazareth Teacher Takeover at McDonalds
Nazareth Academy’s Booster Club sponsored a Teacher Takeover of the Westchester McDonald’s on Wednesday, November 13. This fun and successful fundraiser saw Principal Deborah Tracy making ice cream cones and shakes, school president Dennis Moran manning the coffee station and Athletic Director Duane Buturusis wiping down tables. Many other teachers, coaches and staff members were also on hand to help and serve.

Nazareth students, faculty and alumni all came out to support the cause enjoying the role reversal of giving orders to their teachers.

Gluten-Free Stuffing From Prasino
We're counting down the days to Thanksgiving and can't wait to make Prasino's executive chef Jared Case's gluten-free stuffing. With locations in La Grange, Wicker Park, and Rosemont, Prasino is known for its commitment to offering sustainable and local ingredients, as well as a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan dishes.  The restaurant's philosophy is that flavor and presentation do not need to be sacrificed to offer clean and healthy food, and that is exactly the case with Case's gluten-free stuffing.

DIY: How to make a table out of a vintage suitcase
We’ve all seen those cute projects on Pinterest showing coffee tables, night stands, and pet beds made out of vintage suitcases, right? Well it’s probably one of the simplest upcycling projects you could tackle and lots of fun to boot. Here’s one I did recently with a chalkboard top. It’ll work as a cute play table with storage for Matchbox cars, Legos, etc. inside, then a game & drawing surface for tic-tac-toe, hangman, checkers, whathaveya.

Organizing Your Home For the Holidays!
A good friend and professional organizer extraordinaire, Susan Fleishman www.clutterfreeme.biz has some great tips for getting your home - and your life - ready to make room (literally and emotionally!) for the holidays. And with only 14 days until Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah, it's not too late to get started! These tips also work for any other time of year, including post holiday de-cluttering or if you are selling your home and want to make  sure it is "show ready" for prospective buyers.

Reasons Why You Should Consider Refinancing Your Mortgage
Refinancing a mortgage is a golden opportunity to lock in today’s low interest rate for the next 15 or 30 years. While interest rates now are still low, there’s a good chance they will be heading up in the coming months.
