StartCPR - Push Hard & Fast!!

CPR.....Push Hard & Fast. Learn how to properly perform this lifesaving skill. You would never forgive yourself if you could help a person who's heart has stopped, or was choking to death.

In 2010, the standards for cardio pulmonary resuscitation changed. The next time you see CPR being performed on TV or in the movies (especially if it's pre 2010), notice how slow they are compressing on the persons chest.

The new standard is: Push Hard and Push Fast!  All the guess work of CPR classes of old is now passe.  A CPR class used to take six hours to complete - now it's right around two hours.  Why?  The American Heart Association who, for the most part, set the standards for CPR, have not only come up with a more affective way of performing this skill but have removed the confusing differences between adult, child, and infant.  Adult & child CPR is almost identical with a few nuances between them. Infant as well.. Every one should take a class - Parents for sure.

And YES, the beat to "Stayin' Alive" is the same beat for heart compressions.. It works.

AED's are KEY! Learn how to use one. Most people don't convert from a lethal heart rhythm without one.
