Resource Association in Special Education (RAiSE) will host M. Tara Joyce, Ed.D., for a presentation about the Common Core State Standards and reading disabilities. Dr. Joyce’s presentation will include a discussion about the greater reading demands of the common core, and what teachers and parents need to know about the impact of the new standards on students with reading disabilities. Her presentation will also include suggestions for assisting students with reading disabilities with the more rigorous testing and coursework resulting from the new standards.
All parents, teachers, and community members are invited to attend.
