Infant Massage and Parent and Baby Yoga Class with Freya Smith

Everyone loves a massage and babies are no exception! Touch is an important way for your infant to learn about themselves and the world around them. Dawn Drumm, PT, CEIM (Certified Instructor on Infant Massage) will teach you about infant development and how massage can promote sleep, relaxation and digestion. This class will focus on learning more about the many benefits of infant massage as well as provide instruction on lower body and stomach strokes.  If you do not have a baby, a doll can be used to learn the massage techniques.

Once your baby is relaxed from their massage, enjoy a short parent and baby yoga class led by Freya! Parent and baby yoga offers a a warm environment for parent and baby to share the joy of yoga while having fun together. The principles of yoga offer a gentle way to reflect on the experience of parenthood in order for parents to better nurture themselves and their babies.  This practice can also be enjoyed without a baby.  This class is suitable for all levels students and gentle enough for pre-natal and post-natal students.

Please bring a comfortable blanket, your yoga mat (if you have one) and your baby or doll.  Massage oil will be provided. This class is open to all interested students from moms and dads to friends and family.  Fee: $25 pre-registered, $30 at the door
