Prayer flags date back thousands of years, to pre-Buddhist Tibet. The use of primary colors on plain cloth were used in healing ceremonies, which corresponded to a different primary element-earth, water, fire, air and space. These ideas will be explored in this workshop. You will create your flags on pre-stitched sheeting material, using the harmony of mixed media, such as printing; collaging, stamping and a bit of hand stitching. No experience is necessary. All supplies will be included. Bring a sack lunch and a non-perishable food item for our local food pantry.
