Boy Scout Eagle Project about the needs of the returning Veterans and the effects of PTSD on their return home. War related trauma has caused untold pain to our Veterans and resulted in unprecedented rates of suicide.
The documentary movie "On the Bridge" (94 minutes) by Olivier Morel will be shown at the LaGrange Theatre at 10:00AM. It features young men and women from our local area who have fought and returned. It is their story.
There will be a discussion immediately after the movie at the LaGrange Public Library which is 1/2 block South of the Theatre. The discussion panel will include one of the veterans from the movie, Jason Moon, the director Olivier Morel, Command Sargeant Major Mark Bowman and a PTSD therapist. The panel will be moderated by Jerome McDonnell from WBEZ PBS "WorldView". A light brunch or snacks will be offered during the discussion.
