Charlotte Cziperle is Art League's Featured Artist for October

Celebrate the change in season with this October's exhibit at the La Grange Art League. Nature's rich colors and textures are the inspiration for Charlotte Cziperle, the League's featured artist for October. Cziperle, whose show is titled "Emergence," seeks to capture fleeting moments of beauty and immortalize them through her artwork. "The time of day and direction of light change the colors that we see," she explained. In her abstracts, Cziperle layers on paint intuitively, building color and texture as she goes until the final painting "emerges." Cziperle is a member of the Transparent Watercolor Society, the National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society, the La Grange and DuPage Art Leagues and the Elmhurst Art Guild. Her paintings have won numerous honors and awards. The exhibit opens September 30 and runs through October 25th at the Art League. A reception is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 4. Acoustic guitarist Jason Deroche will entertain.
