VETERANS MEMORIAL ART COMPETITION IS ANNOUNCED

Community Park District of La Grange Park, Neighbor

The Community Park District of La Grange Park (CPD) is soliciting local artists to help with the final design of a new Veterans Memorial to be built in Memorial Park this summer. Located at the corner of Sherwood and Oak Avenues, the memorial will honor the military service of all veterans; past, present and future.

An integral component of the memorial is an artistic bas relief made with sculptured bricks that will be part of a curvilinear brick wall. The CPD Veterans Memorial Committee is seeking a fitting design for the sculpture that represents the valor, honor, commitment and unselfish characteristics associated with our American military service personnel.
