Youth Classes at the Community Park District

Youth Programs available for children through the Community Park District of La Grange Park

The Community Park District of La Grange Park offers classes to children of all ages. Many of the classes are ones that help challenge the mind and allow children to express themselves creatively. This fall, why not sign the kids of up one of these three great classes that can help expand the mind and introduce children to something new. Cartoon Drawing is a fun class that gets participants using their favorite funny expressions in a creative way. Children ages 6-12 will enjoy learning how to create characters and give them life through an innovative step-by-step drawing method. Classes are held on Mondays at the Recreation Center, 1501 Barnsdale Rd. in La Grange Park, and run from 4:45 – 5:30 pm, starting January 14 through February 11. Cost is $42/residents, $52/non-residents.

Elementary drawing focuses on the fundamentals of drawing that can be built on as they get older. Concepts will focus on animals, landscapes, still lives and so much more. Classes are held on Mondays at the Recreation Center, 1501 Barnsdale Rd. in La Grange Park, and run from 3:45 – 4:30 pm, starting January 14 through February 11. Cost is $43/residents, $52/non-residents.
