Dine Out and Support Lyons Township High School Television

Residents can help LTTV November 10th at Francesca's

A rather wonderful event will occur November 10th—one day before Veterans Day.

Francesca's restaurant will be hosting a dinning out for the television studio at Lyons Township High School. This event will commence at the noon meal time and end when the staff of Francesca's turn off the lights and all the dishes are placed away.

Okay, I suppose any reader would ask, "Why this event?"

As a matter of fact, perhaps most readers may not even be aware that LT has a television studio! Well readers, they do indeed. LTTV is the call sign and this is one very busy group of students and future producers and media types. From covering most—if not all—of the high school's activities, the studio covers local community events too.

Local municipal meetings, full coverage of last years Honor Flight, and a few focused interest programs for all the residents in our communities. LTTV also has covered local parades including the annual Memorial Day Parade and Observance in Western Springs. How will this dinning out help LTTV? Glad you asked. LTTV does receive some support from the HS district.  Proceeds from this dinning out will allow the director to either purchase new equipment for the students, or assist in enrolling students in regional professional television conferences. These conferences allow young adults to meet, learn and interact with established professionals in the televsion careers.

So, we all enjoy dinning locally, right?  Go to Francesca's for lunch, dinner, or both, and inform the staff that you are there for LTTV to receive a huge inner feeling of warmth as you help the students. Oh, by the way, on Thursday evenings, Francesca's offers music for the dinners.

See you there,

Chuck Bosko
