Hour Town Clock Auction Tonight, Rain or Shine

The auction kicks off at 5 p.m. on the front lawn of Village Hall, or back inside the Parking Garage if there's rain.

That's right, another summer art season in downtown La Grange has come to a close. But, that also means it's time to auction off the beautiful grandfather clocks in the to the highest bidder.

Tonight, the will be auctioning off the wonderfully decorated grandfather clocks that have lined the streets of La Grange all summer.

The celebration gets started at 5 p.m. rain or shine. If the skies are clear, the auction will be held on the front lawn of . If it's raining, the event will be moved into the parking garage just behind Village Hall. Food from local restaurants, cold treats from and a cash bar will be available.

The auction will begin at 7 p.m.

Prior to being placed on the auction block, artists will touch up the clocks as needed and clocks will be sold with new mechanisms and hands.

Nearly $18,000 was raised for the of rocking chairs.
