38th Annual La Grange Craft Fair

The weather looked like it was going to be beautiful for this weekend's in downtown La Grange. Unfortunately, the weather report now calls for thunderstorms on Saturday. That's good for our gardens, but not great for the vendors. Sunday still looks beatutiful, with a high of 93 and mostly sunny skies.

Located on La Grange Road July 14-15, the La Grange Craft Fair will feature 175 booths displaying the unique art and crafts of area vendors. Shoppers can peruse a wide variety of items for sale, from original paintings to handmade clothing and more.

The craft fair is a much-anticipated event in La Grange each year. According to Nancy Cummings at the La Grange Business Association, the event generally brings between 4,000 and 6,000 visitors to the fair with some years bringing as many at 8,000 to the village.

"This is a really popular event in La Grange and people really anticipate it each year," Cummings said. "They look forward to it."

With that many people coming to town, parking is going to be tough. Get there early and park for free at the village parking garage located behind . The parking lot located at will also be available for parking, as well as other lots around the village.
