Everything You Need to Know About La Grange's Holiday Walk

Just about everything you need to know about the annual Holiday Walk in La Grange.

Yes, it's that time of year again. If all the holiday music playing on the radio and in local businesses hasn't tipped you off, then the announcement of the annual La Grange Holiday Walk sure will!

kicks off in downtown La Grange on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown La Grange. If you're a new resident to the village this year, this is one event you can't miss!

Activities will begin with the traditional All-Village Sing, which will be followed by Santa Claus' arrival via one of La Grange's own fire trucks. Hey, it's not a sleigh, but it's red enough! Santa will be on hand for the lighting of the La Grange Christmas tree and will take up his place in to hear what all the good little boys and girls want for Christmas this year.

Parents: It might be a good idea to take some notes!

Also included in this year's Holiday Walk will be strolling musicians, ice sculptures and costumed characters. If you need some refreshment and a little something to shake the cold, a cider and snack area will be provided by the Village Fountain. Stop back again later for a bonfire and delicious s'mores.

Still want more? There's also a petting zoo and pony rides located on Calendar Court, and kids can take a ride on the "Polar Express" kiddy train in the parking lot behind . For adults looking to take a ride, three trolley cars will be rolling along the streets for a quick way to get around and a great chance for a tour of La Grange's Central Business District.

You'll also be able to swing through the amazing variety of La Grange businesses that will be holding special sales and events throughout the evening.
