The Hope Chest is a not-for-profit organization whose sole beneficiary is Pillars’ Constance Morris House (CMH). The Constance Morris House is a shelter for abused women and their children. The CMH provides physical and psychological safety to women and children who are fleeing abusive relationships.

Why did you choose the area?

La Grange has a thriving business district that is beneficial for serving customers from the surrounding suburbs. It is easily accessible and our shop is located right off the Metra line at Stone Avenue.

What does your business offer?

The Hope Chest offers high-end clothing at reasonable prices. We specialize in ladies and children's clothing and shoes. We also have accessories (purses, belts, scarves) and books.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

We accept donations of gently used women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry and books. By selling these items in our store we are able to donate funds to the CMH and make possible some of the many benefits provided for the residents of the shelter, such as free living quarters, meals, counseling, therapy, health care and advocacy.

In addition, The Hope Chest provides clean, comfortable clothing at no cost to the shelter residents.

What's your most popular product or service?

Ladies designer clothing and accessories.
