UPDATE: Westmont Woman Identified in Train Death

A 25-year-old Westmont woman has been identified as the victim in Saturday's train death along the BNSF tracks in La Grange, according to La Grange Police Department records.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the death a suicide.

According to a report in Sun-Times Media, the death was ruled a suicide following an autopsy conducted Sunday by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A 25-year-old woman died Saturday night in La Grange after she was hit by a freight train. According to CBS/Channel 2, the woman was pronounced dead at 10:47 p.m. She was hit near the Stone Avenue stop. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday, according to the report. The woman's name was not immediately available. 

Earlier this year, three fatal train-on-pedestrian collisions occurred in a 12-day span along BNSF tracks in the western suburbs.
