More than 70 Artists slated for Riverside Arts Weekend (RAW) May 18 and 19

Riverside Arts Weekend (RAW), featuring a fabulous arts fair with more than 70 juried artists, is set for May 18 and 19.

Riverside, IL -- Riverside Arts Weekend (RAW), featuring a fabulous arts fair with more than 70 juried artists, is set for May 18 and 19, in the historic community of Riverside, 10 miles west of Chicago. Artists from throughout the Chicago area and surrounding states will display and sell their original artwork and compete for Best of Show, First, Second and Third place prizes. Many media are represented including sculpture, glass, painting, ceramics, wood, fiber, jewelry and mixed media.

This is the 6th year for Riverside Arts Weekend. This year, the events take place in beautiful and shaded Guthrie Park, in downtown Riverside, next to the Metra train station. The festivities begin on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and continue on Sunday, from 10 am - 4 pm. 

In addition to beautiful visual art, scheduled to play are well-known musicians Los Sones de Mexico, Paulinho, Buddy Love, Liz Berg, the DePaul Women’s Acapella ensemble and the Corbin Andrick Quintet.

On Saturday, Redmoon Theater will present a community immersion experience that all can enjoy.  On Sunday afternoon (2 pm), fashion forward original designs are featured in Revelry, the RAW fashion show.

Food and drink are available throughout the weekend.
