Phones, Technology and Steve Jobs in LTHS Play

Lyons Township theatre students were able to get feedback from original playwright Mike Daisey on their production of "The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs."

Lyons Township High School students have adapted the provocative one-man show The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs into an ensemble production, garnering feedback from original author Mike Daisey, for production this weekend, The Doings La Grange reports.

The show is primarily about the questionable way in which much of the First World’s gadgetry—like our beloved Apple cell phone—is manufactured.

Director Lawrence Keller told the paper that the play is “filled with a great sense of rage about how our favorite gadgets are made by hand.”

The show will be performed at 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 15, 16 and 17 at the Reber Center at Lyons Township High School North Campus. Tickets are $5-10, with free admission for LT students.
