West Suburban Concert Band Spring Concert

West Suburban Concert Band performs its Spring Concert at 7:00 p.m. April 14 at the auditorium of Gurrie Middle School, 1001 South Spring Avenue in LaGrange, Illinois. The program includes Richard Strauss' "Festmusik der Stadt Wien," two selections from William Schuman's "New England Triptych" - "When Jesus Wept" and "Chester," the Alla Hornpipe and March from Handel's "Water Music", Grainger's "Harvest Hymn," selections from Warlock's "Capriol Suite," "Waltz No. 2" from Shostakovich's Suite for Variety Stage Orchestra, the "Tribute to Count Basie," a medley of Italian songs in "Italian Holiday," a flute section solo from "A Gaelic Offering," Sousa's "Solid Men to the Front" and "The Stars and Stripes Forever" and other selections.  Admission is free.  Call Joe Martan at (630)-724-2256 or visit www.thewscb.com.
