The Golden Age of Radio

A Beginner’s Guide to How Radio Changed America

By offering a variety of comedy, drama and information, radio transformed American into a national listening community. Join us for "A Beginner's Guide to the Golden Age of Radio” at the La Grange Public Library on Sunday, March 6 at 2 pm. Radio host, Steve Darnall will entertain the audience with sound clips and background information about the era.

This lively program covers a time before television, cable and computer, when the radio took center stage in our homes. Darnall, host of two radio programs devoted to old time radio, will remind the audience of favorite old-time radio shows like Amos & Andy, as well as popular commercials.
