LATTE Theater's Spring Comedy, "The Importance of Being Earnest"

The Importance of Being Earnest

Save the date for Oscar Wilde’s  rip-roaring timeless classic, “The Importance of Being Earnest”.  This fast paced, witty comedy has endured from the Victorian Era.  Dubbed, “A trivial comedy for serious people”, Wilde’s humor could be likened to a ping pong match.  The character’s leap off the stage as everyone loves Earnest, but much pandemonium ensues – as no one is really sure who he really is!  Do you think you can guess the real importance of being Earnest?  Reformed rakes meet surprising fates as pandemonium ensues.

As an added bonus, enjoy Hooked on the Classics, the uproariously funny series of skits adapted for the stage by Felicia Pfluger, based on the book, Ten Classics in Ten Minutes.Pfluger created the skits to be “A fusion of Masterpiece Theatre and The Reduced Shakespeare Company.” Don’t blink – or you will miss the rapid fire, domino effect humor and teens speed through acting out literary classics from beginning to end in 1 – 3 minutes!   Hooked on the Classics will leave you in stitches.
