La Grange Park Public Library hosts program on Roman mosaics

The Lod Mosaic, a colossal floor mosaic from an ancient Roman site in present-day Israel, is on exhibit at the Field Museum. Dr. Michelle Paluch-Mishur will make history come alive by talking about the materials and processes used to create the mosaic. She will also discuss some of the major subjects depicted in Roman mosaics.
