Decorate a Tile and Become a Permanent Part of the Park District of La Grange

Tiles are available to purchase and decorate with proceeds going to help the La Grange Park District preschool program grow.

If you’ve ever been inside the , 536 East Ave., you may have noticed the tile wall just outside the indoor playground. This wall is a work in progress and the Park District of La Grange hopes to fill the entire wall with tiles decorated by residents.

The theme for the wall is “Your Fun Destination!” So get your creative juices flowing and design a tile for all to see. It’s as easy as dropping by the recreation center and picking up the supplies after paying a $20 fee. Once you create your masterpiece you return it to the recreation center and they do the rest! Personal art is preferred, but photographs are accepted also. You can use markers, crayons, paint or even chalk to create your tile for all to see.

The wall is a work in progress and has some terrific pieces of art. Some have been designed by entire families, some by children and some by groups around La Grange. They can be signed and dated—it’s all up to you as the artist.

All the proceeds from the tiles go toward helping the preschool program grow. Put your stamp on our community and design a tile or two. Once I decide my theme, I will be creating away. I’m sure those that know me, know that I will probably design something to do with Bulls basketball.

If you have any questions or require further information on this program, please contact Diana Faught at (708) 352-1762 or dianafaught@pdlg.org.
