Weather: Temp to Drop Below 40 This Week

The first freeze of the season is rapidly approaching, but the weekend should be warmer.

Got your hat and gloves ready?

Time to open the closet and air out your winter gear, as temperatures are forecasted to officially fall below 40 degrees this week for the first time since spring.

No need to start spreading ice salt or change your tires yet (if you do such things) though; temperatures will get back up into the high 50s by the weekend--so if you want to get in that one last barbeque or block party under fall leaf coverage, you may want to try to squeeze it in on Saturday (long-term forecast shows a wet Sunday.)
