Bald Heads, Full Hearts: St. Baldrick's at Palmer Place (PHOTOS)

Dozens of boys, men and even one brave little girl had their heads shaved Thursday at Palmer Place in support of childhood cancer research.

Spirits were high and the heads were bare Thursday night at the annual St. Baldrick's fundraiser at Palmer Place in La Grange.

Dozens of participants raised nearly $35,000 for the charity, which supports childhood cancer research.

Men, women and children all stepped up to shears wielded by Floyd's 99 Barbershop, though perhaps the most fanfare surrounded 9-year-old Sadie Madden, who was even featured on Thursday night's ABC 7 evening news. The La Grange native raised more than $9,200—the most of anyone who participated—in honor of her late grandmother.
