Parks Grant to Fund New Playground at La Grange's Sedgwick Park
Park board approves new playground for Sedgwick Park in La Grange to be installed in the spring.
The La Grange Park District has received a grant to replace the playground at Sedgwick Park.
The $39,708 grant from Game Time, according to a Park District board meeting agenda, will fund the playground equipment only, which would cost about $20,000 to install in the spring of 2014.
The park district's total estimated cost to redo the playground is $95,188. The board approved a grand award of about $59,600 to cover the playground and installation in the spring.
The park is located at the intersection of East 48th Street and South 10th Avenue.
