Meet 'Reverse Santa' in Western Springs Author's Novella

Dennis Canfield's "South Pole Santa: Return to Christmas" tells a Christmas fable introducing an anti-Santa with a different type of gift to give.

You know Santa Claus, but how about Reverse Santa Claus?

That's the (not so jolly?) St. Nick we find in South Pole Santa: Return to Christmas, a new Christmas novella by Western Springs author Dennis Canfield, The Doings Western Springs reports.

According to the paper, the 90 page story features the Krumwerth family, whose overabundance of material stuff has driven them apart, and who require an unorthodox Santa to remind them of the true meaning of Christmas.

"The way technology has changed the ways we communicate with each other, not all of these changes have been for the better,” Canfield told the paper. “One objective I hope my story accomplishes is to raise this issue with readers in a lighthearted way that may even lead to some discussions within families about this issue.”
