Make Summer Music With the Music Makers of Western Springs

Registration for the Music Makers of Western Springs' children's summer musical program is now open.


Registration for the Music Makers of Western Springs is now open to children in grade K-8 for the summer musical program.

The Music Makers plan to stage two productions this summer, “Swamped” and “The Wizard of Oz.”

“Swamped,” the K-2 production, is a charming musical tale about friendship, tolerance and change which takes place in a swamp. Classes start June 9, and meet Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon, with performances scheduled for June 28 and 29.

Older students in grades 3-8 will hit the boards in “The Wizard of Oz.” Leads will be double-casted.

Classes start June 9 and run Monday through Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. for Cast A, and 2 to 4 p.m. for Cast B.

“Wizard of Oz” performances run June 27 through June 29.

Cost to register “Swamped” is $250; “Wizard of Oz” is $375. Auditions for both productions will be announced.
