Lost Dog With Limp Spotted Monday Morning

Mitch the border collie mix who went missing one week ago was seen along 47th Street in La Grange.

The border collie mix named Mitch who slipped out of his collar during a walk and ran away from his owners in Downers Grove last Monday was spotted Monday morning in La Grange, but remains lost.

Szymon Karbowski, the dog's owner, emailed Patch the following update Monday afternoon:

We still haven't found our dog Mitch but there was a sighting this morning in LaGrange at 47th Street and East Avenue at around 8 a.m. It was the first sighting since Tuesday. He was running east on the railroad tracks. ... He was limping but moving fairly quickly according to the call. If anyone spots him, please call the police and us at 630-930-3231. The police have been informed.  Thanks for your help.

Karbowski alerted Patch about the missing dog after Mitch was spotted last Tuesday in Burr Ridge's Harvester Park.
The dog is limping because, according to Karbowski, he was hit by a car after running away.
The Hinsdale Humane Society posted about Mitch on Facebook last week, sharing a status of Lost Dogs Illinois.
