Light Snow, Then Temperatures Above Freezing Ahead

After last week's wacky extremes, plunging from 65 degrees to 0 in about the same time it takes to chill a drink (hyperbole), the weather should level out a bit this next week in the area.

The big blizzard is still holding off, and may never happen for the second year in a row, but if you're reading this on Monday morning, you should see a bit of white outside, and that should continue through the day. Until warmer temperatures at the end of the week rub it out, anyway.

Monday: Cloudy with a light falling snow during the day, mostly cloudy at night. Mid 20s during the day, high 0s at night.

Tuesday: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow flurries during the day, mostly cloudy at night. Low 30s during the day, high 10s at night.

Wednesday: Partly sunny during the day, mostly cloudy at night. Mid 30s during the day, mid 20s at night.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of rain and snow through the day and into the night. High 30s during the day, mid 20s at night.

Friday: Partly sunny during the day, mostly cloudy at night. Mid 30s during the day, mid 20s at night.

Saturday: Mostly sunny during the day, mostly cloudy at night with a slight chance of rain at night. High 30s during the day, low 30s at night.

Sunday: Cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain through the day and into the night. High 30s during the day, low 30s at night.
