Holiday Weekend Weather: Flurries or Showers...Maybe Both?

Your guide to weather this weekend.

With and tree lighting ceremony tonight and on Saturday, lots of people are wondering how the weather will cooperate.

Sure, it wouldn't quite be the holiday season without old Jack Frost nipping at your nose, but come on, who here wouldn't be pretty happy with a nice 60 degree fall night instead of winter madness.

Nobody seems quite sure what the weather will do this weekend. Early forecasts were calling for some light snow flurries. There would be no accumulation, but some snowflakes dancing in the air would make either village's holiday fest a little more seasonal.

Now, weather reports are calling for light showers, so it's anybody's guess (which I'm pretty sure is what most meteorologist do anyways).

After reviewing the weather predictions on Weather.com, WGN, and ABC7, here's what I'm predicting:

Friday: a high of 41 degrees with clear skies all day and night. La Grange Holiday Walk attendees won’t get snow, but they will get a beautiful view of a nice big winter moon at night.

Saturday: a high of 46 degrees with showers all day and night. It might be a wet one for Santa this year as he lights up the tree at La Grange's Hometown Holiday event.

Either way, expect a cold night for both with temperatures in the low 30s. That means bundle up and grab a hot cocoa where you can find one!

See you there!
