A La Grange Park man who managed to drop 42 pounds of extra weight in less than three months is sharing his experience and strategy in a new eBook, The Doings La Grange reports.

According to the paper, Gary Charles Metz said he lost the weight through a combination of appetite control and regular walking exercise on a beach in Floriday.

"I was basking in the glow of compliments, and in May, I through I’d try writing an eBook," Metz told the paper. "It boils down to staying busy and not thinking about food. With the foods I craved so much, I decide does my stomach need it, or is it my taste buds that want it. The main thing is to keep walking an hour a day."
