Westchester McTeachers Make Big Money for the WPTC

On Wednesday, April 23rd, Westchester Primary and Intermediate Schools held a McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on Roosevelt Rd. in Hillside. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the WPTC. Fourteen  teachers worked very hard including McPrincipals, Henkels and Letsos. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru teachers, greeters, teachers cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, and teachers serving ice cream. Teachers working included: Tomczyk, Weber, Tyminski, Sandy J., Lasky, Kaminski, Delaney, Piper-Simpson, Turilli, Ganzel, Jurgens and Nogel. There were even teachers singing for tips. Westchester McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time.

The School plans to use the money raised to go into a fund for future programming. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school.  All the kids came to see their teachers work at McDonald's.  A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Special thank you goes to McWPTC President Marcie Bonanno, who organized the entire event. It was a great night! Ronald McDonald's appearance was courtesy of the Hillside McDonald's owner/operator, Dennis Cha.  For more information about events provided by the Hillside McDonald's contact the Hillside McDonald's Community Relations Director, Julie.Travers@comcast.net.
