New round of classes to help smokers quit start Oct. 8

La Grange – If you are trying to quit smoking and looking for help, Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital will offer a round of smoking cessation classes starting Oct. 8.

The weekly classes, which cost $129, run for seven weeks and were developed by the American Lung Association. During each session, participants talk about why they wish to quit smoking. Nicotine withdrawal, available medications, stress relief and diet are also discussed.

Classes are held at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital, 5101 S. Willow Springs Road in La Grange. To enroll, call the Health Information Line at (630) 856-7525, or Adventist La Grange Cardiac Rehab at (708) 245-3636.
