The Nazareth Girls Varsity Basketball team emerged victorious at the power-delayed IHSA Regional tournament on Friday, February 21. The Lady Roadrunners brought home the Regional Championship for the second consecutive year, defeating Wheaton Academy 58 – 41. Nazareth seniors led the way: Tre Cross had 15 points and 7 rebounds; Julianna Raimondi scored 9 points; Devinne Love added 8 points and 9 rebounds; Katelyn Cahill added 7 points; Eileen Kennedy and Sydney Newman each scored 5 points.
IHSA Sectional competition begins Tuesday, February 25, when the Roadrunners take on state-ranked Montini at 6 p.m. at Glenbard South High School.
Congratulations as well to seniors Eileen Kennedy and Danielle Bartodziej, who advanced in the IHSA 3-point shootout. They will shoot Thursday, February 27 at 6 p.m. at Glenbard South before the Sectional Championship game.
