West Suburban Toastmasters of La Grange Park welcomes you to an open house on January 16 with some motivational and educational speeches. Ruth Princess, author of Diary of a Fat Female (http://diaryfatfemale.com), will be presenting a 7-minute talk on Goal Setting. Many people have already broken their New Years Resolution. She has continued her goal for over a decade.

Ms. Princess' book represents a lifetime struggle with weight and eating including the success of losing over 50 pounds a decade ago. She has been doing a series of talks at area Toastmaster Clubs on her 7 secrets to help you be healthier every day. Sssssss, Seven Simple Secret Solutions to Surviving our Sick Society began as a submission for a online slide show. It was accepted for publication as a New Year's Resolution piece.

Each Monday at McDonald's Headquarters in Oak Brook, she has and will continue to present one simple solution during the noon meetings. On Sunday, January 12, 2014 she presents the entire 7 secrets in a 30-minute presentation at Windy City Professional Speakers at the Double Tree Hotel in Oak Brook at 6:00 pm. Guests are welcome to attend all regular Toastmasters meetings for free. There are over 200 Toastmaster Clubs in the greater Chicagoland area as well as clubs in over 100 countries.
