LT Gets A+, Presents Mavros Festival; Hospital Helps Smokers Quit

LTHS chosen for Bright A+ award
Lyons Township High School was one of just 60 Illinois school districts honored with a Bright A+ award. The award is based on academic performance, and districts earning the award are among the top 5% of all Illinois school districts. High school districts were judged based on the ACT composite score of all students tested.

Lyons Township High School presents Mavros Festival January 16-18
The Lyons Township High School Theatre Board proudly presents the Donna N. Mavros Student Theatre Festival. This annual festival, originated and developed by former LT Theatre faculty member Donna Mavros (tenure 1969-2001) encourages and empowers students to choose, develop, direct, and craft their own production for performance. The festival honors the work of Mavros for her outstanding contributions to this festival and to the LT Theatre Department.

Stop smoking with help from Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital
Starting Jan. 14,Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital will begin a new round of smoking cessation classes, designed to help anyone trying to kick the habit. The classes, which cost $99, were developed by the American Lung Association.
